Jiangjie’s House
The workshop and living space of sculptor Jiang Jie is located in a warehouse near the mountains outside Beijing. The large space makes use of wall openings and skylights to create an atmosphere that celebrates the temporality between light and shadow, and dream and reality. Exposed concrete ceilings, smooth concrete walls and tiled floors provide a state of “nothing is permanent” which helps Jiang Jie easily enter her creation mood.
